You can disarticulate a chicken with a butter knife and other things I learned during my first week in Honduras

As I write this post I’ve been in Tegucigalpa, Honduras just over one week. We arrived last Saturday night around 9 PM. The two flights, one from Houston to San Salvador and the other from San Salvador to Tegucigalpa, were, for the most part, uneventful. The only drama took place about 15 minutes before we were scheduled to land in…

Hey y’all,

I’m Adalia Aborisade, world traveler, serial expat, and minimalist.  In 2016, I moved to Tegucigalpa, Honduras with my then 15-year-old daughter and furry BFF. Since that time I’ve lived in Mexico, China, and Kuwait.

This new life of mine has been one incredible ride and has brought me a level of happiness I didn’t know was possible. Every woman deserves an opportunity to find what makes her happy – no matter how unconventional it may be. I want to empower Black women to live life on their terms by demystifying money, travel and everything in between.
